Those are already covered by the categories though? “Help wanted” is just “help”, “showcase” is just “showcase” Not really sure what “discussion” and “question” would add, and what kind of suggestions? Good point with the categorys, My suggestion is to make the forum searchable with tags. As example when an user likes to see only questions because he likes to answer questions i like to have that implemented. So with the system its possible to select a tag like maybe question and list all topics…

How is “question” a useful thing to search for though? In what way would someone be looking for “questions” in general? Instead of discussions or people asking for help? In what way would that make it more searchable?
