Not everyone have time or opportunities to learn, i wouldn’t argue why, i just say it’s possible he can’t learn thus LLM is his only solution that fits him
How did you come to the conclusion that it’s better at solving problems? Fast or slow?
This is the same argument that white slave owners in the U.S. south gave to why they couldn’t give up their slaves.
i’ve used LLMs in the past for lot of stuff, chat gpt was main solver & thanks to it i’ve managed to learn godot quicker than from tutorials
also for time & opportunities - as i’ve said, maybe he have no such option other than LLM, i won’t argue if it’s good or bad, i’ just say that not everyone can learn just because they want
Have you though? Because I’ve read your posts, and knowing you learned from an LLM explains why you have so many wrong ideas about how Godot works.
You are arguing for good whether you know it or not. You’re trying to sit on the fence which is disingenuous.
What does that mean?
The problems you are solving, are they generally things you are inexperienced with? Or areas you have limited knowledge? Or are they areas where you have high degree of skill and knowledge?
i’ve said it helped, i don’t argue i don’t have knowledge of godot, but you don’t need to know everything to talk about topic.
i’m not arguing, i’ve said that people always say (don’t use LLMS, they’re bad, they’re terrible) while not seeing their positives, only negatives, because if we though a second - everything is both bad and good, and we should think of things as + and -, rather than straight “never use it!” mentality
that’s why i say - not everyone can learn, not everyone is you, and i try to add to discussion from neutral perspective, cuz if there’s just single perspective - it will always be biased
This is not a fair evaluation of the opinions expressed here, you are accusing others of being dismissive or biased and saying that refusing to use something that (according to you) have benefits is biased or dismissive, ignoring the balanced and nuanced opinions that are actually expressed
i don’t accuse anybody of being dismissive or biased, i’ve just said if we look from single point of view - it will always be biased, even if you don’t want it
i’ve read a lot of comments from people - and i just observed they focus on one side over the other, maybe i’m wrong, i can be wrong… but it’s discussion after all
Seems like a pretty weird thing to bring up if it wasn’t related to how people in this thread approach the topic, what are you trying to say otherwise?
You are not answering my questions and instead are accusing some nebulous “them” of doing something. Instead of paying attention to what we’ve actually said here on this forum. So I’m done engaging with you on this topic because you do not seem to be actually interested in discussion. You seem to have an agenda of pushing the “positives” of LLMs without hearing anything else and then ducking behind “fair and balanced” whenever your statements are challenged instead of actually engaging in discussion.
if you ask about what i wanted to discuss - i’ve just tried to show that @renevanderark’s take on @Necueid’s “i use LLM to learn”
Meh, i’ve heard that - AI is bad cuz it hurts or cuz it makes people less smart or that it’s lazy solution or that people stop asking questions ect. i just see that “average person” in this discussion, it’s just majority of what people say, not single person is talking about negatives of LLMs than of both
That doesn’t follow at all, so don’t know what you are talking about
But back to my question earlier: when you’ve been impressed by the value of LLMs, is that for things you are experienced in and know a lot about? Or might it largely be in areas where you are otherwise ignorant or inexperienced?
Yet you somehow ended up here:
But you just said it wasn’t about people in this thread? Which is it?
I don’t think this goes anywhere if you keep being so evasive, sorry
Don’t bring logic into this.
WAS is key thing, WAS, i’m not using Ai much nowadays as i decided to train myself a little, but that’s just my case!
i should’ve never discussed anything in forum in the first place…
Yes. The world is not a fair place and indeed we do not have equal opportunities.
But my question was what is wrong with taking time to learn something well. Especially knowing that LLM technology costs more money to use than paying a human being.
I’d encourage everyone to make use of all the free and open resources the internet has to offer to learn.
But delegating work to a machine that produces such poor output that it will never make you money yet has a high potential of costing you money will make things much worse.
LLM’s are not free:
thx for explanation - it’s nice you give alternatives, but for now i’ll close my part of discussion cuz i think i’ll get to nowhere and maybe it’s better, hope i gave some new perspective on this topic, thx for talk everyone
