Bataillon Bastion (Devlog)

Hey guys,

Welcome to the development log for Bataillon Bastion! In this game, you’ll build and command small armies to defend your castle against relentless hordes of monsters. Players will have the opportunity to strategically deploy their forces as they fend off various enemy attacks. Currently, the game features nine units slots, allowing for diverse troop combinations and tactics. There are more slots and exciting updates planned for the future!

On the bottom of the screen is the shop system for different combat units.

For now, there are 5 different arches types:

close combat units (this will be the tanky units)

ranged combat units (like archers, they will be the units to fight flying enemies like birds and harpies)

magic combat units (don’t know yet the function for magic, but they need to be in game :))

there will be additional damages types like fire, (poison ?) to get bonus damage against specific enemies. (for example ice golems are weak against fire..)

Im still playing with different games ideas like growing cities for new combat units and ressources.

I will post a video from the gameplay and battle so far.

Hello guys

This short video showcases the current state of the game. Currently, there are 12 different units available for players to purchase for their battalions. For demonstration purposes, I used only the same enemy units. I’m still deciding whether an enemy battalion should consist of various enemy types or all the same type.

For now the next Log I would implement new flying enemies (which can only be hurt by archers) and physical resistant enemies (which can only be hurt by magic units)

The currencies are already implemented and can be withdrawn when you click on it.

That’s the current state for now. For the next log I plan to:

  • create more scary enemies
  • more player units
  • more animation for the battle visuals
  • treasure chests?
  • the player HUD on the left side, needs a do over
  • in the current state you can have more than on bataillon, and you can switch between them. But Im need to see, how the player can unlock them.

If you have any ideas, pleas let me know

See ya..

Hey there,

After creating an overview of the current units, I realised that i definitly need more monsters and knights

This week I will mostly focus on some interesting units.
I polished a lot of the current gameplay with some tweens to make the gameplay more dynamic. Will post a new video at the end of the week
