Hi all!
So, to step right in, I am a beginner in Godot. I watched some videos, read some articles, and practically still know nothing at the moment but, like so many others, with a gazillion ground breaking plans for the next best selling indie game (and make millions from it).
So to start this adventure I would like some pointers - I will name all of you in the end credits of the finished product of course.
What I am looking for is a top down (bird’s eye) view with 3D graphics in an enclosed rooms, interacting with other assets. The camera should be fixed (no rotation) and as it would be point and click should have pathfinding from point a to c (c for click - pun intended). That is basically the game play. If there are any introductions to this I would love to see some links…
Would it be possible to get all game data in an online, let’s say, MySQL database the game can connect to? For instance, the asset used would have a decline in usability - directly upped and downed from the DB.
Also would like some info on multiplayer and server connectivity (think MMORPG). Would the server be the game in itself or just a filled husk with variables?
So many questions, so little time…
Or, are there any good Godot trainings with any of you (paid / unpaid / voluntarily) that can help me with the above inquiry? Or some chatGPT service that knows Godot inside out and can write the whole thing for me?
If I posted this post in the wrong forum, I apolgize.
All help is appreciated.
