Build Your Own Tycoon - Genycoon, a new game I made

For the last week (exactly 7 days) I’ve been making a 3D free building tycoon game

The game is simple, you start on a 8x8 plot with 3 blocks, Dropper, Conveyor and Collector (aka Seller)

You need to make the dropper drop cubes to the collector to earn money

With the money you earn you can buy new blocks (dropper, conveyor, upgrades, just building blocks, …), or expand your plot size or upgrade the limit of droppers you can place inside the plot

For now there’s just 2 tiers of droppers/conveyors, the “Basic” and “Good” ones

And that’s basically it

The game is paid, but the Web Demo is exactly the same as the paid version

It’s just considered a Demo because your data can disappear randomly after a few hours (local web save), the performance isn’t the best on the web version and you can’t play without wifi

Because the mouse is locked, fullscreen would be great to play this sort of game. You can check a little box on the Itch menu to enable it.

Hi!

I had fullscreen before on the web version, but enabling it would made the browser insanely slow for some reason, even on the strongest PCs, so I decided to remove that option

Still, players that download the full game can (obviously) maximize their windows without that weird insane lag

I would suggest considering a rename, using “ycoon” as a suffix here makes it sounds very strongly of an anti-Black slur, I think “GenTycoon” is a safer choice

Thanks! I didn’t knew it!

I’ll change the game name to “GenTycoon” on the next update! (as right now changing it and being different inside the game feels weird)
