Camera2D node not actually doing anything(?)

I have a Camera2D node and it seems to be lying to me. Some things that should be out of bounds get rendered anyways. I have no words to describe this. Just take a look:

it follows the current parent node in default, check who is the parent, make sure it’s the thing you want to follow

Also try to set your stretch mode to canvas_item:
