Can anyone help me with isometrics?

Godot Version

4.3 stable

Question

I want to create a game with the same isometry as tibia, does anyone know how to configure this within godot’s isometry?

Well, the closest thing to Tibia style would be the “isometric” option

then you can modify the Tile Set “x and y” to see if you feel comfortable or not.

I recommend looking at the Tibia images and comparing them with what you’re doing in your project to see if they meet your expectations.

here’s the way

Go to: tile set/tile shape “and choice isometric” after change the values X and Y in Tile Set/ optin

I hope this helps you

I managed to create a diamond down isometry, but it was not equal to the isometry of the tibia, and I am still looking for solutions

Here is an isometry equal to the game “ultima online”

These kinds of games are usually locked on a grid for movement and objects right? I feel like the isometric perspective comes from the art style you’re using as opposed the the actual programming.

Looking into tactics style tutorials or grid based movement would probably be a decent place to get started. Maybe find a cool art pack to work with as you start out but it’s more important to get a fun framework made first. U got this!!!
