Hi, I’m working on a 2D project in Godot . I want to know if it’s possible to manipulate individual sprites within a Flipbook or a Sprite system—specifically changing their size or location independently? Currently, when I change the Transform in the details panel, it affects all the sprites I’ve added. Is there a way to apply transformations to a single sprite within the sequence, similar to how ‘pixels per unit’ or specific sprite editing works? Any advice on how to achieve this?"
You can always add an individual frame from a sheet and adjust its size/position.
Normally I would suggest you use an animation player on a sprite(sheet) instead. In the animaiton player interface, you can animate over time, one way to do that would be to change the frame of a spritesheet. Presumably you could also change the texture of a sprite as well. With this setup, at any time you can set a key frame for any property, like scale. So some animation for position and scale directly is possible.
You could always attach a script to it to check if it’s the frame you want to modify, and scale up (or whatever) if it is, and scale back to normal if it isn’t. That would be more of an in-game thing though, which is a limit of a code-based approach - difficult to tune in a artistic sense.
And, of course, a lot of graphics software will have their own translation options, and it may be that the best approach is to just bring this back into your software and make the adjustment there.
