Chill fantasy RPG music/SFX

I’m looking for some music and sound asset recommendations for a fantasy RPG adventure I’m working on.

It’s built on top of the @dragonforge-dev template, but I’ve kept the scope pretty limited asset-wise—just using KayKit’s free packs (Nature, Dungeon, Skeleton, and the Adventure Character).

The game itself is fairly simple: you start out in a stylized forest playing as a ranger with a one-handed crossbow. You hunt down skeletons to get keys for treasure chests, which give you the crystals needed to open a portal back to your safe city. On the way there, you just visit a few dungeons and open fields before finally hitting the city hub.

I’ve spent a bunch of time browsing itch.io but I’m really struggling to find the right audio. I’m looking for that kind of chill, nostalgic fantasy music you’d hear in games like World of Warcraft, Lineage, or Guild Wars for the main menu and the actual levels.

Does anyone know of some good websites or creators that specialize in that specific style?

That Holy Sword sound great for Menu Scene.
Rest doesn’t seem to fit into concept.

Thank you.

I’m glad to read you found something you like! Be sure to check out the new RPG playlist I created —I’ve added a few new mixes since I made the preview list above.

OGA’s search feature has a ton of options you might not know about. You can easily search for just music. Specific genre and feeling (chill fantasy) has to rely on uploaders tagging their stuff and those tags meaning the same thing for both of you. I think it’s really useful.

Here’s a search I put together for fantasy music tagged chill, relaxed or relaxing–judge for yourself

Check out ELV games on Itch.io. They have a lot of really great music in their music bundle. Totally worth the money. Ovani Sound is also great.
