how do you copy objects from a scene to another

I assume you meant nodes when you said “objects”.

Follow these steps:

  • In the scene tab, on a node Right Click > Merge from Scene
  • Click the .. button to choose a scene
  • Then choose the nodes you wanna copy from the menu
