Could Color Palette as Texture be translated to Godot?

Question

I found https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KVBVqrPV878 , and I would like to do the same for my characters and such.

But before proceeding, I would like to consult experienced people here. If I have done this in Blender 5.0, I can just export my 3D models (that will also have 3D animations afterward too) as .glb afterward, and everything will just work fine, right?

Are there any caveats to watch out for?
