I have made a game, and I would like to have people play it so I turn to you my fellow Godoters my game is on itch.io just search BBBKing studios and click on “House Hustle“ if you do play the game leave a comment or something because you people are my favorite type of people. Hope you enjoy.
Why did you not post the direct link? It increases the chance people will actually take a look at it.
Some screenshots etc. help too.
Oh my goodness… thanks for the tip. did you like it? It was my first game… ever so I can understand if it was bad.
I tried it twice. It’s a bit confusing as the phone looks weird and it’s not clear where you will move when you click any of those buttons or when the monster will appear.
And the UI is outside of the window.
I know this is supposed to be a horror game, but the screaming is way too loud.
Ha Ha… sorry but Aztec death whistles do that. Did you like it?
Got it I will try to fix those problems… I really appreciate you helping me.
Hi! I gave your game a try. Conceptually, It’s the greatest thing I’ve seen come from a beginner. Visually and mechanically, game obviously needs touching up.
Obviously, you’re still new, so experimentation is guaranteed. Nevertheless, try giving better and more extensive instructions on how your game can be played. Games are supposed to be fun for experienced players and new players alike, so when a game throws you in without having any option to view directions, it feels heavily discouraging for anyone willing to recommend, spread or try out. Your concept is awesome, though what drags it down is the lack of direction (as mentioned above) and a simplistic, work in progress style. Obviously, I trust you’ll polish the game later down the line, but the only appealing visual in the game as of now is the monster (which, props to you, is scary and works well with the world it’s placed in). The gameplay loop seems repetitive, too. There should be some overarching end goal your player can work towards that ties in with the story or mechanics, like escape or some form of closure that you find sufficient and satisfactory. While I’m on the topic, the story is bloated. Your game’s page mentions that ”the lore is tied to other games”. This would only work in your favor if you’d already have other projects of yours coinciding with other games. In this case, when looking into your creator page, you only have this game up.
Having said all of that, none of this is meant to judge and/or criticize what’s presented here. For what it’s worth, this game is awesome all the way down and is really promising! I trust you’ll take this far and make it into something that’ll succeed, all that’s required is experimentation and studying. Cheers, from MD!
Thank you! I will make my game better because there is always something to improve on… maybe a simple mode to teach new players?
Keep checking on it from time to time… you will see improvement (I promise).
Why does it stand there and do nothing? ![]()
I played a few more rounds and read the instructions, but I don’t understand what the goal is.
Just stay alive as long as possible? ![]()
Sorry went to sleep. The goal is to make it to 6:00. Also there are 4 modes now!
Congrats on getting this far into game-making, it’s a difficult thing to learn! There’s a lot of stuff in there for a first game, and I think I’m getting Five Nights at Freddy’s vibes? It’s still pretty rough though, and there’s a lot you can do to improve it, if you’re not already on to your second project ![]()
I was unable to figure out the goal of the game, even after reading the instructions. Maybe the game could spell this out when a new game is started (for instance), and the rooms could be labeled something more meaningful than “RoomXLabel” - “Bathroom”, “Dining room” etc are more descriptive. You could even put some lore in things like names, giving the player an idea of what’s going on - say we’re in the monster’s house, “Obglob’s basement” conveys a lot more than “Room4Label”, with very little effort.
It doesn’t help that the labels are offset, making it harder to know which label belongs to which button:
As trizZzle mentioned, the scream sound is too loud - ideally you want to scare the player, not just startle them. Record the sound so it doesn’t clip (distort from being too loud) and set the volume appropriately in the sample file itself or in Godot.
Some ominous background music would go a long way to set the atmosphere too - you could easily find free music and just put it on a loop as soon as the game starts, maybe cutting it on game over or replacing it with game over music. That would make a big difference with very little effort ![]()
I love it

That guy looks like an Obglob to me.. or Spittles, the rejected Skittles mascot that turned into an evil recluse ![]()
His name is snare and the goal/ending is to reach 6 AM (So '“original” I know.) I will fix those labels when I have time.
if any of you are listening I fixed a lot of problems like adding music and more description in controls so I hope you like it… House Hustle by BBBKing Studios
hey all, of you looking at this post I know you may not think my game is good but I encourage you to give it a try and maybe just maybe you will have fun anyway it was fun chatting with you all and learning so much. Snare (or Sprittles) says bye,
Reply-time on a forum could be days, in my case at least. I just check in every now and then ![]()
The music is really low, but I suppose if you’re trying to bait a player into turning the volume up for a jumpscare, that’s the way to go… only works once though.
You know it… do you like the improvement?
