Create Inherited Scene in code?

Is there an API for editor addons to create an inherited scene? I can not seem to find anything like that.

There’s currently no api for creating an inherited scene (see this issue on github, which seems to provide a workaround).

There’s also an open pull request which implements this feature:

Implements: [#3907](https://github.com/godotengine/godot-proposals/issues/3907) Supersedes: #64217 This is done by adding an inherit parameter to `open_scene_from_path()` This will allow plugins to be able to create new inherited scenes, which can enhance user workflows.
