Dark Specks With Omni Light In Scene

Black specks appear in my scene when an omni light is present. The specks flicker and move when the editor camera moves. They appear both in-editor and in-game. This issue occurs only on my desktop and not my less-powerful laptop. I am able to reproduce the issue in a scene with just a MeshInstance3D plane and a default omni light. The default environment and directional light are disabled.

Additional details from further testing:

  • One other user has reported this issue with no solution. They have the same graphics card I do (AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT). Black artifacts on 3D Mesh
  • The issue only occurs on the Forward+ renderer, and not on the Mobile one
  • The issue occurs even in a new project with default settings containing only a minimum scene to reproduce (one MeshInstance3D plane and one OmniLight)
  • The issue persists in the most recent Godot 4.3 dev snapshot
