Nice, the game toolbar rework was much needed. I think there are other toolbars that could use some polishing up, I hate having the dreaded 3 vertical dots that opens extra options but you’re not sure what’s in it or what the options are for.

The fuzzy search seems very interesting.

I’m definitely upgrading one of my projects with the FuzzySearch, that sounds great.
And the sticky tree items looks like such a nice QoL I can’t believe we still live without it.

I was thinking of making a request to have that ‘visible/invisible’ drag-toggle, and here it is, just by my thinking hard enough..! Great minds, eh..? My Projects are simple, so porting these to 4.8 brings no issues. Many thanks. :+1:

(Hmm… Now, then, what else should I think hard about..? ;-))

I currently have 11 different versions of the Godot engine on my desktop, from 3.5.3 to the latest, and a few of them are Mono.

Wow but why?

I have two 4.6 and 4.7 and soon godot 4.8.

Because I have a lot of projects, and I download older demos etc and I want to see them working, not debug upgrading them to the latest version.

Wow they’re really pushing updates at such a fast pace !

Nice features, the sticky treenode items is a huge win, would it be a good idea to consider this for CodeEdit as well for nested blocks? At least in the script editor

Oooh! Some nice QoL / Editor stuff coming in 4.8. Is that the focus for this update?

Really itching to start on a new project. Soon-ish. Now I am considering 4.7.1 for stability or 4.8 for the QoL upgrades

Lol. I did too for a while but I gave up on that. Now I just have the current version. Most old projects still work, although sometimes there some bits and bobs to rework.

LOL. Can you think about making hex grids and astargrid a bit more user friendly please! Thanks. Very much appreciated.

Right, but for example, I wanted to check out Whiskers so I can work on the 3.5 version that works and learn from it for my Quest Editor or I could just spin my wheels trying to fix a program that I do not understand by upgrading it to 4.7.

Whoa, that is pretty fast. I just checked out the 4.7! The toolbar overhaul looks amazing, can’t wait for full release!

Nowadays I believe it’s called “Manifesting”.

But there’s definitely some exciting updates in here! Sticky trees and the docked game view!
