Does current Godot Engine version 4.7.1 fully support Valve’s Steam Desk and Steam Machine?
Talking about the game controller input.

Looking to publish one of our Godot games onto Steam sometime next year (2027).

Full support? - you’ll need to break that a bit.

Will Godot game controller input work out-of-the-box on both machines?

The steamdeck is a Linux device, if Godot can detect and use a controller on Linux (it can), then the same thing will be true on the steamdeck because it’s just a Linux machine.

It’s pretty easy to get the SteamOS Devkit Client and run your games on the deck for testing.

Wow, this thread is so good to read. Thanks guys, sincerely. (I just managed to get Godot 4.7.1 working on my Chromebook Spin 514, retiring my old Windoze machine). Sounds like a Harrier jumpjet taking off just switching it on, and takes like 20 minutes to settle down anyway, so…
