Dream Walking Simulator: Undisclosed Project 56

Salutations and season’s greetings! The season being the New Year rather than Christmas, because of… complications. Let me ask you a question: What do you think about dreams?

Ah, yes, dreams. Dreams, dreams, dreams. What causes dreams? Some may say dreams are nothing but the aimless firing of neurons, but others disagree. People talk about dreams predicting the future, interlinking with each other like a story, as well as giving birth to actual stories! Like that one videoes game or something… And, and, and, lucid dreaming exists! In which a person gains lucidity inside a dream, and thus has control over it.

Lucid dreaming… to which we get to the actual game pitch.

This game follows a young girl who, in attempt to shut out the troubles of real life, seeks escape in her dreams. But lo, what’s this? Her mind seems to have other plans! Plans for the girl to deal with… some matters from the past, some unresolved issues, concerns waiting to be addressed. “Hey, wait a minute!”, you may query. “Isn’t this just Yume Nikki?” And to that I will say… yes. Yes it is just Yume Nikki. It’s a fangame! You got me! Take me away, officers! I’ve got nothing to lose!

*ahem* Anyway. Let me say I will be releasing this game as freeware, same as the predecessor. It is non-commercial and everything is… voluntary. I will make no amount of money from this, and Yume Nikki belongs to Kikiyama.

So far I’ve planned most worlds to be two-dimensional, not unlike Yume Nikki. However, there may be one or two which make use of three-dimensional effects, as well as ‘meta’ effects, such as being able to access the Terminal or being able to check the integrity of its own code.

You’ve heard of games being spoiled or leaked in the past, isn’t that right? Because we really don’t want anything like that happening around here, this project is closed-source. If you are interested, please send an email over to undisclosedproject56@protonmail.com . However, if for some reason you are unable to put in much commitment… … that’s perfectly fine! You’re still able to help by saving me with your knowledge when I inevitably run into some technical difficulty. For example, the terminal messaging feature! How is any average ol’ Schmoe 'n Dave supposed to know how That works!?

Last but not least, I truly, truly appreciate any interest, support, or encouragement about this game, although not much can be disclosed. I’m really passionate about this project, and I hope it will meet those who enjoy it! Maybe I could drop a little tid here and a little bit there about this game in the future, as a reward for your support.

Now, if you don’t want to read my ten-hecking-paragraph word vomit, allow me to grace you with a shorter version of this post.
