Editor memory keeps increasing

Question

I have a problem with my project where the memory usage of the editor skyrockets from 800 mb to over 3 GB when running the game, once closing the game it doesn’t go back down.

We tried in multiple computers and got the same result, we also tried on version 4.2 and 4.4-dev3 and nothing changed.

The only way for it to go back down is closing the project and opening it again.

I have no idea what is causing this issue. And would love some help on what to check on the project, that could be the reason. :face_with_spiral_eyes:

So, long shot here by asking this but do you happen to have OBS running in the background, or any similar screen recording software, such as Nvidia ShadowPlay?

I had a very similar issue before and it was caused by OBS being open in the background.

No, we tried using the engine after rebooting the computer and still was having the problem.
