Fighting game standing on head issue

Me and a friend of mine have been working on a fighting game in Godot, we have the basic movement stuff but immediately came to a problem. When a player jumps on top of the other in most fighting games, typically they just fall onto the ground in front of them, but we’re having an issue that you’re able to stand on the other player’s head. Any tips on how to implement a fix to this?

just make the each player’s collider higher and have a triangular shape on top of their head?
