As in title and the video. I want the children to flip when I flip their parents and I thought it should work like that, same as rotation or transform.Gun is an instanciated scene if it matters.

Is it possible to make it work automatically or I have to write a function for flipping the children?

You could scale the parent object by -1 on the x axis. This has a lot of issues that come from scaling objects non-uniformly, especially physics objects, so I don’t expect this to be a great solution- I believe most will use the sprite’s flip_h property and reposition it as needed, but try the -1 scaling out and see if any immediate problems arise it seems useful to your project that combines many disjointed sprites.

I dont want to scale x because it causes issues with my script. I just dont understand why I have to change flip_h for each sprite individually and changing just the parent node doesnt work

It’s behavior you want for your game, but it would be an odd default; I’m using many sprites that may or may not be flipped regardless of their parent. You can add code that travels to each child looking for sprites to flip but it seems like you also want to reposition nodes so the hand and gun would be on the other side.

Thanks, I just thought it is a default behaviour and it doesnt work because I had set up something wrong.
