If I click on the tab to show the post, there are no unread posts and any subsequent navigation I perform doesn’t reproduce the issue (e.g. if I go back to the homepage by clicking on the Godot logo in the top-left). It only comes back if I refresh the site.
I tried to clear the cookies associated with the site but it doesn’t fix the issue. As an aside, I have now and again also been on the forum on my phone. Is it possible that this has somehow inserted some invalid data into the site’s database?

If you have any idea how to fix this, or if you’re a moderator that has access to the backend, I’d love to know what to do. This issue is mildly frustrating.
Has happened to me before.
There is most likely a thread you’ve made or posted to that has new posts, and it’s trying to notify you.
Just find it in your history and scroll to the bottom, the notification should be gone.
You can edit your ‘subscription’ to a thread so that it doesn’t notify you of new posts unless you’re mentioned or replied to go avoid this from happening?
I don’t have that issue, but it seems to be indeed a Discourse bug discussed here and already fixed with this PR. So with the next update of the Discourse version on Godot Forum, it should hopefully be resolved.
