Hello everyone,
I’m happy to finally present my first Godot game: Galaxy Tactics - a world of tactical mayhem, with dozens of unique weapons to obliterate your opponents, on an everchanging battlefield with destructible terrain!
As this game is a solo-indie effort, Godot has been an incredible engine to work in, primarily because of its ease of use, allowing me to spend less time on technical aspects and more on other areas of the game like design, graphics and animation, and “high-level” coding of client-side and server-side.
After trying out a few different engines that did not feel quite right for me, I got comfortable with Godot in just a few days after first launching it, and in less than 2 weeks I started to implement Galaxy Tactics in it, which took about 8 months. Godot was and still is a continuous learning experience for me.
A big shout out to the founders, contributors, donors, and the entire Godot community for this awesome engine!
Galaxy Tactics will be part of Steam Next Fest in June with a free demo, and you can follow the game to get all the updates until then, including upcoming free playtests (from which I would really appreciate the feedback!).

Hey everyone,
I’m happy to invite you to the first Galaxy Tactics playtest weekend. The playtest will begin on April 19th, and if you would like to try out the game, you can sign up on Steam right now.
Start time: Saturday April 19th, 8am UTC (1am L.A. | 4am N.Y. | 10:00 Paris | 17:00 Tokyo)
Duration: 48 hours
Playtest goals
- Gameplay - how do you feel about the overall gameplay experience?
- Balance - do you feel that a weapon is too weak/powerful?
- Bugs - did you encounter any bugs or issues with the game?
- Server (this one’s for me) - check if the server side runs as expected
Content
With a few exceptions, all content is available in this playtest:
- Campaigns and emotes are in development and not available
- Offline play is not available in playtests
Progress saved
Excluding any dramatic developments, all your progress in this and future playtests should be preserved if you will buy the game after launch.

Thank you for the kind words, and I too grew up playing Worms
This could end up being my fist game, but it’s true that I have some of years of experience working with both coding and 3D graphics. And what better way to do both coding and graphics other than video games!
(technically my “first” game is Guardians of Elderon, but that was delayed a bit, not sure yet which one will launch first
)
Signed up for the playtest. It indeed reminded me of Worms a lot, and I haven’t played that in years. Looking forward to a trip down memory lane, and provide some feedback in the process.
Good luck on the launch!

While Galaxy Tactics is from the same genre, you will find that the mechanics are quite different from the Worms you remember
I’ll be happy to find out!
