Game Designed by a Real Chef: Turning Cooking Into Meaningful Play

We want to share a kids cooking game built around a simple but often overlooked idea: cooking is already a learning system. Instead of treating food as decoration, Food Festival 3 was designed around real culinary logic, step by step actions, and familiar kitchen processes.

What makes this project different is that all recipes and cooking flows were designed with a real chef. Ingredients appear when they make sense, tools behave as expected, and actions follow real-world order. There are no text instructions or forced guidance. Kids learn by doing, observing results, and repeating actions naturally.

If you’re curious how real-life processes can shape calmer, more meaningful game design for kids, we shared the full breakdown here.
