Hello,The game has once again released a snew version-0.5,which may be my last version. I will further research and optimize the project, and also add a new zombie mode.
And I tried adding controller Input,Looks perfect:
Finally, the games is free and open source.Thank you for downloading it.I am looking forward to everyone’s replay.
First off, congratulations on making something that’s already playable and fun
I tried free-for-all and team, on Office, Snow Basin and Blood Strike.
My thoughts:
Movement is very slow, which also makes targets easy to hit. Maybe consider making characters overall faster?
Run only works in the straight forward direction, which may be realistic, but feels kind of awkward in a game. Maybe I just have to get used to it.
Why is jumping disabled when running?
Very floaty jumps, consider making them quicker for a more controllable feel.
Is movement speed affected by selected weapon? If not, there doesn’t seem to be much reason to prefer lighter weapons.
From what I could tell trying a few maps, there are only a few spawn points, which encourages camping. You could consider making spawn points inaccessible once a player leaves, or simply having more points, so it’s harder to know where a player will spawn.
Health is quite low / damage is quite high, meaning that the player sometimes will die before even turning to see who’s firing at them (especially in free-for-all). This is okay against a sniper rifle, but with most close-quarters guns it might be good to lower their damage / make the player(s) more durable. This also determines how long you want exchanges between player to be: high damage = over in a heartbeat, lower damage = more time dueling.
Showing “first kill” on every kill seems unnecessary - you could just show “double kill” on two kills, and so on.
Having red / blue teams on a blue map (Blood Strike) gives an unfair advantage to team blue, who are harder to spot. Consider making the level another color.
Thank you for playing my game, and I also appreciate your willingness to write so many game suggestions for me. I have seen your feedback. Indeed, there may be many unreasonable and need to be modified aspects in this game. Initially, I only focused on creating features without considering the gaming experience too much… I’m sorry, but this 0.5 version may also be my last version so far, and I may not have the opportunity to update or modify it in the next year.. Because I still have my studies to complete.
In any case you have a fun foundation to build on with this.
I hope you get some time to polish it a little, you clearly already put real effort into it.
