I’m using Godot 4.3
Question
when I press run it says there’s no main scene defined and I need to edit it. But when I press edit says it failed to open
Click on the scene you want to consider the main one, for example choose the one where the player should appear. Then right-click and choose “Set as Main Scene” or something like that.
I cant edit my project
Maybe a file system issue? Are the project’s files broken/corrupted? Do you have proper file permissions? What happens if you create a new, empty project?
when I press the edit button it opens Godot and closes again

Sorry, I misunderstood the problem.
Since the Edit button doesn’t work, try opening the project.godot file in a text editor and make sure that the main scene is specified in it. Find the line “main_scene” and check that the path to the scene is specified correctly.
deosent really matter I think its my laptop stopping it from
working so im using godot 3.6
