HELP! One time events - Tutorial scene for Player

Hey, i’m trying to figure out how to make one time events in my game such as tutorial scene for the player or a one time notification. I don’t know how to make this work even when the game is exported to desktop or android or in development.

This will vary depending on how you’re implementing the events, but it could be something as simple as a bool being set to true or false.

Something like:

var has_seen_tutorial = false

func _show_tutorial():
    if has_seen_tutorial == false:
        # Tutorial code here
        has_seen_tutorial = true
