Do you mean that you donāt want people to decompile your project? Or that you want to put DRM into your project?

The point I was making is that it is likely not going to be possible to protect your assets.
That is the case in 2D for sure. I canāt say for certain in 3D.
This isnāt a Godot problem, it is the same with any system.
You will for sure have seen people putting watermarks in their images.
Its the nature of the beast that if you show an image on computer, that image can then be duplicated.
Hmmm. But we donāt have any other better way?

You will find many perspectives on this. Two facts to keep in mind:

Many companies that make or sell games invest a lot of money in securing their data.

Everything can be de-compiled (meaning, anything can be accessed) by skilled enough people.
As for me: until my games start hitting 1 Million players, Iāll probably just go with a custom encryption key through a locally compiled Godot
Also, for the sake of it: put a license file in your project..

Have you played Poppy Playtime or any popular game? thereās a soild 99% chance that someone have decompiled it, decompiling is possible at any type of game no matter what security method the developer uses.
Soo just start making the game and share itās progress on everywhere so people will know about your game.
