Welcome, I would most definitely recommend you start here, it’s a great guide that will teach you a lot of the basics of the engine.

You could, but i started with your first 3d game ineted of 2d, but you can do whatever u want

Welcome. You have a great Godot journey ahead of you. My advice would be ‘Don’t rush’.

Don’t rush to build your dream game. Don’t rush the fundamentals and don’t rush your learning. Take it slow, take it easy, it will be faster in the long run.

And good luck, game dev is, and should be, a lot of fun too.

You should do both, because they both help you understand how to use Godot, and will help you regardless of whether you end up making 2D or 3D games.
