How can I get my pause screen to follow the camera?

Hello, I’m very new to Godot, currently following some tutorials and trying new things, I was trying to make a pause menu. In the tutorial I was told to put it in a CanvasLayer so it always shows up on the window, I read the same advice on several posts and discussions as well but it doesn’t seem to work for me.

It looks like the canvas layer is working as expected, try unsetting your player camera from current when you pause or center your menu buttons to align with your player camera better.
