How long you work on your game on daily, weekly and monthly basis?

it’s 2 weeks in game dev - and i realized it i guess, the longer i think and work, the more i understand that i still don’t have master level and making games will take few months minimum

i know that my scope isn’t large, because i base it off simple idea - "core first, then expand as you go, but before that, make something work well” - in short make core polished then add small features around it, rather than just making RPG game

I tend to work on the latest project when the mood hits me, typically about an hour a day. That way it’s never a burden - I don’t have to finish the game within any deadline, in fact I don’t have to finish it at all. My only motivation for making games is that I like making games

Of course finishing a project is great feeling, but I find that it’s short-lived… by the time I finish one project, I’m already designing the next, and excited to see it come to life.

Most people I speak to do anywhere from 1-4 hours a day. Usually maybe around 2 though.

But I don’t think it matters too much, as long as you’re making progress  .

I wouldn’t recommend 8-14 hour stints like others I know though.
