Can I use it for daily work, in a project that will take about a year to complete? Is it equivalent to the 3.2 branch of the engine or is it more like the future 4.0?

From what I’ve read, the Vulkan branch is mainly for 4.0, and probably can’t be used in daily development just yet. In a recent tweet, Juan said that the Vulkan branch will be merged into the main branch, and that it has to be ported to a newer version of C++. Also, many optimizations need to be made.

Was Vulkan really merged in master though? 3.2 isn’t out yet and doesn’t have its own branch either.

Hmm, maybe I was mistaken. I’ll edit my reply.
