How to copy a GD script to an USB drive?

I want to take my script to a nother laptop.

Are you meaning an entire project, or just a single file?

A GDscript file.

An entire project is EZ to coppy.

Go to your file explorer, make sure the USB is inserted to a generic USB port on your PC, click the desired file in the explorer and hold using the left mouse button, drag into the USB drive, or the desired directory in that drive.

In the Godot editor, select the folder that contains the script. Right click. “Open in File Manager.”

are you using file explorer or nodes explorer?

File explorer

then maybe somehow you’ve removed gd script extensions from your editor settings :\ check out file extensions in editor settings and look if you have .gd here
