How to fix blurry shadows?

Question

I am trying to fix the shadows in my 3d parkour game because they look blurry and weird. I can lower the edge blurriness, but then the shadows become pixilated. Please help me.

Could you post a screenshot and describe your settings?

The settings can either be Hard (Fastest Rendering), or Soft Ultra (Slowest). Or something in between, but none of the in between or either of those have either not blurry, or not pixilated shadows. I cannot figure out how to get smooth edges on the shadows.
