How to make special projectile pathway?

I was trying to make the Hollow Knight Mantis Lord combat, And I meet a problem.
I want to make the projectile pathway as in Hollow Knight gameplay, I thought about using Path2D and PathFollow2D to set the pathway with offset, but I can’t set the rotation degrees in the PathFollow2D, so the link below happens.

I have considered using a vertex shader, but I really don’t know how to do it.
I want to ask if is able to use Path2D or Vertex Shader to do it, and how.
Or just another way to do it.

So, you don’t want the projectile to rotate while it’s following the Path2D? In that case, just set the rotate property of the PathFollow2D node to false.
