How to place 3D objects exactly next to each other without causing z fighting?
E.g. Let’s say I have a wall that is made of multiple copies of the same model.
Is there some kind of snapping that I can enable or is the only way to do it by eye?
You need to do it by eye by offsetting each wall by a slight amount. The distance you need to offset the walls varies on two factors:
- The maximum distance at which the walls can be seen.
- The distance of the camera’s near plane (a higher near plane value reduces Z-fighting in the distance).
