How to use autoload variable with @tool extends EditorScript?

I’ve seen its’ really smart to have global variables in the autoload.

Thgis works perfectly when I start the script with:

extends Node3D

However, I have helper gdscript files that does not run upon game-engine run (such as scripts to generate a map). These scripts starts with:

extends EditorScript

And they can be executed without the game-loop running. However, I am not able to import the variable defined in the autoload with this?
