I need a little help with animations

Question

“Alright, I’m putting my character’s animations into my code, so I’ve already had success adding his main animations, which are running “run,” standing still “idle,” and jumping “jump,” and the animation I’m trying to add now is the one where he floats — meaning, when I press the jump button and hold it, my character floats and starts falling slowly to the ground, and that’s the animation I’m trying to add, but I’m having difficulties. As you can see, I’m using an animation_tree, the jump animation is linked to the floating animation, because the idea is that I want the animation to go from jumping to floating, and from floating to the idle animation. However, when I tried to add this to my code, the floating animation keeps playing even after my character has stopped floating and is already on the ground. If someone could help me, I’d really appreciate it. I’m sorry for being annoying.”

I cannot see that you are using an animation_tree because your forum post does not include any code or screenshots or any other details. I think you will need to provide more information for anyone to be able to help you.

Sounds like there’s some sort of issue with you detecting if you should switch between your floating animation and your idle animation. You’ll need to detect when your character hits the ground and then have the character switch to their idle state when they have hit the ground.
