I'm new and want to share the IK node system I made Free for others to use

Hi all, :waving_hand:

My account is currently restricted as I’m new to the forum’s but I have been using Godot for a few years now. Recently I made a 3D IK node plugin that’s fully done in GD script and I’m trying to share it with as many people as I can so that it can help them with there IK needs until a native solution is added.

here is a link to the reddit post I did that has more info, and a link to the GitHub hope this helps people out that are looking for a 3D IK solution. click here to go to the post

I’m happy for other’s to share this around, and if there is any way to move this post to showcase that would be cool, unfortunately as my account is new to the forum’s I can’t post there, but its probably a more appropriate place for it.

Thank you for taking the time to read this

Welcome to the Godot Forum.

Just letting you know, you really could’ve clarified what “IK” means. I had to look it up and it means inverse kinematics. Not everyone’s going to know what that acronym stands for.

There’s also a category for plugins literally called Resources > Plugins, but I’m not sure you have access to it as a new retracted user.

Thank you! I’ve been working with inverse kinematics a lot lately, so it’s become second nature to refer to it as “IK.” I’ll definitely do my best to use the full term in the future.

IK is indeed an established abbreviation. And, in the vast majority of cases, in the context of gamedev, it raises no doubts.
