Godot Version
4.3.stable
Question
I originally used the Compatibility rendering for my project, because I was using GodotSteam which doesn’t show the steam UI while running from editor, I found out that it works in forward+ when exporting, so I decided to switch over to forward+ and since then I’ve had quite a few issues since the switch and was hoping someone with more insight would be able to help.
For one, I noticed when setting UI visible/invisible, they blend? rather than a simple on/off it’s more like the alpha is being blended from 0 → 1. it’s hard to describe exactly so I’ll just post this video here. this is my main issue that I’m having and it’s driving me crazy because I don’t know how to describe the issue, therefore I can’t look up a solution to the issue.
I have other issues, but these are minor in comparison, eg.
-
now in forward+ rendering, the sun’s reflection is heavily pixelated?
did not have that problem in Compatibility rendering at all. -
I also noticed that colors are completely different between renderers, where forward+ are more washed out while compatibility are more vibrant.
I should also note, I made 0 changes when swapping from Compatibility to Forward+, these are just out of the box issues I’ve bumped into and have no idea why they’re happening.
