Hi there! I’m MD, and ever since September of 2020, I’ve been wanting to make a game that is both good enough to pass off as a decent game and something educational. This is Dread Is Temporary (Title is still a WIP), a psychological horror experience about emotional collapse and resistance to internal pressure. I want to make it so the main focus of this game is a sense of exploration (giving open areas for the player to explore and inspect before getting back on track to the main plot) and narrative.
I’m fairly new, and the screenshots that accompany this post are of the most recent build I have. Any criticism is welcome and I’ll do my best to answer any questions!

Looks kinda weird yet cool … how do you cause players to feel psychological effects?
Hello! There aren’t any psychological or otherwordly effects into play. A psychological horror game revolves around an experience where you can’t trust your own senses and fear something that isn’t quite there, which will fit nicely with the game I’m making since it’s story-driven.

Thats ingenius, idea sounds very cool, its very impressive if you can cause the player to experience real emotion like paranoia about something that isnt there. Hope it goes well.
