Story:
Hi, i’m into game dev for a while now, but godot is something new to me, i’ve decided to try it few months ago and it meet all my expectations, it’s best engine for me, and thus i want to make game in godot.
Personally, i think that modern game dev became too fast, too flashy and too loud, it’s like you were in action movie, not in game really. That’s why i’ve decided to make game based around stealth and strategy.
About game:
Maybe a week ago, i’ve got a simple idea, make extraction game where you need to complete few goals, but if you’ll get caugh then everything will want to shoot you down, and if you’re shoot too many times, you loose the game
I love idea of emergent gameplay, so that’s why i’m not adding some crazy twists, it’s more of a prototype / project i want to make, tho i think making devlog here will help a little
Current progress:
So far i’ve made core systems (placeholders for now), below you can see how goals currently work:
Also i’ve made this small prototype, in which i’ve added enemies:
Other info:
This game as i’ve said above is just experiment, it would be cool if you gave some insight on it, i’ll appreciate any help
Also i’ll try to post every week or when i’ll make larger progress, for now i’m developing prototype to see if gameplay is fun & also to learn a little more about game design
I hope this will become something more than monthly project, but only time will tell, and for now i need to work on this game, so wish me luck.
