The first part I want to discuss is what you first see upon loading the software. It is an Arch Linux inspired terminal. I’m still trying to figure stuff out with that though, so it currently only has one REAL command. The “boot os” command.
After running the “boot os” command in the starting terminal, the user is sent to the desktop. No setup, no help, nothing. Just sent directly to the desktop. On the desktop, you can start to see the macOS inspiration. The desktop has liquid glass UI. I may or may not have just borrowed the liquid glass UI shader from “binbun” on godotshaders.com. The default desktop background is a picture of Cancún, Mexíco from our hotel room. Unfortunately, I didn’t have a camera, so I had to take the picture on my phone. I’ll have to find a way to raise the quality.
I’m still working on it, but I do have a video so you can see the current progress! Please feel free to comment on what you think could be changed and/or added/removed. Thanks guys! You’ve helped me a ton to get to where I am currently in this project, have a great summer!
Video because I can’t upload videos since I’m new GODOT: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1aPvrSuC7CwhdwKITovClTPRYoaLUNqDd/view?usp=sharing
