Making a game but trying to find a decent name
The current name is Marauder but given the lore, I think it could use a change. Pick one below or make your own.
SUCH LORE MUCH WOW:
This is simple. There isn’t much here, because there is barley any need. As John Carmack once said: “Story in a game is like a story in a porn movie. It’s expected to be there, but it’s not that important.”
Set in the year 6984 (haha funny), the galactic powers are on the brink of war. On a neutral planet, a kind of United Nations of the galaxy, there’s a proposal to settle the conflicts through a tournament.
In this tournament, the best fighters of the galactic powers will compete in a blood sport. Each of their main contenders will have to fight their way through several arenas to finally win the tournament or die trying.
One caveat, however, is that all of their legs have been dismembered. At the waist is a system implant that allows them to control a ball as if they were walking.
Only the strongest are chosen, therefore only the strongest will survive. Many do not live through the induction process. But for those who do, there is only one hope for victory. To be the last man rolling.
Yeah that’s the lore. You know what to do.

Pick a fighter, each of the 6 represent separate nations, fight through the arenas that represent each galactic nation within neutral ground, killing the nation’s designated contestant guards (cannon fodder) and win… kinda. Each arena has multiple levels. There are 7 arenas each, 1 for all 6 and a qualifying arena that each must fight in.
Something similar that had some heavy inspiration would be Ball Breakers / MoHo on the PS1.
There’s a game called Deadlock being developed by Valve as we speak (currently in invite-based testing), so I wouldn’t make that part of your game’s name.

After reading the introduction of the game and the following events, I think you’ve already come up with the best name, at the very end:
“Rolling Man”.
By the way, this could be a very cool reference to the 1987 film “The Running Man”)
