Need help deciding what to tackle next

I’ll cut to the chase, i have 2 doors to a lot of things that I have to open. ones locked behind the main menu-game ‘feedback cycle’+multiplayer, the other, an inventory system that works with multiplayer. the main menu/multiplayer door leads to me being able to add in the various ways to “perish” + death messages, etc. | the Inventory door leads to being able to add in the various items and resources of the game('s first version at minimum)
what door do i try to open first?
