this is the only part I literally can not get to work. I know nothing about this super function
this may have been the problem. it seems like the super function is needed to allow the item to be seen for the collect function. it just needed to be super(inventory)
I was using a different item for testing after super corrupted the first one.
I will let you know if at the end it works!
