Orangiland - A 3D Game about Grabbing Oranges (Released!)

Your roadplan sounds solid, looking forward to your future updates!

In regards to the day & night cycle, I highly recommend this plugin, it’s super easy to implement, customize and play around with:

Unless you want to build it all yourself of course, then be my guest!

Thats a good idea

Maybe you could add Pest’s, which you have to :water_pistol: .

Oh good point! But i think med-poly fits to a farming game like this more than low poly like Risker. This game will include weather & seasons and day/night cycle, So with med poly art it can show itself and fit in the game better than with low poly arts. Also i cannot do high poly, cuz i’m trying to make a game that a potato pc can run it at least 60 fps.
Thanks a lot for your comment :green_heart: .

Cool! you can maybe try a artstyle that looks low-poly but mid-poly under the hood like this

Yeah, of course i know this amazing plugin and also the Terrain3D. But right now i’d prefer to make games without plugins and making them all by myself to learn more about the engine.
Thanks again :green_heart: . Hope i can make great games that everyone love playing them.

I would definitely will add these things. Because i’m trying to make the game dynamic as possible!
Thanks for your cool suggestion :green_heart:

Yeah i saw this game before. It has low poly arts with simple textures. Definitely it has a good artstyle. My game has textures with normal maps. So my 3d models look more realistic. If you want make realistic materials and textures for your game, check out this amazing app that created in godot: GitHub - RodZill4/material-maker: A procedural textures authoring and 3D model painting tool based on the Godot game engine
Thanks for sharing the video! :green_heart:

Announcement: I reduced the scope of the game to keep the game small. So it’s gonna be a game that has one mini game and i’m trying to polish its new design. I think a complete and polished farming game needs at least 1 year of work. But i don’t want to spend this amount of time on this game. Instead, i can put time on games that are more unique and maybe simpler.
I might(busy these days) post some updates about it here! I have to change the topic title too.

Second Announcment: I changed my game developer name to Orbies.

So… Orangiland Coming Soon on itch io

Orangiland just Released!
A small & short game that you hold(to not break your mouse) & click on oranges to grab them as fast as you can to level up, grab needed orange amounts and set your best record time.
This game has 10 levels. Each level up increases the difficulty of the game. Tree will despawn faster in higher levels and they’ll alert you with a sfx to unclick the tree. If you don’t do this, you’ll lose. Level 10 is the most difficult one.
When you start the game, orange tree spawns. Then you have to click on it to switch to the tree camera from world camera. After that, hold the left mouse or space to grab the oranges. Each level has its own needed orange amount.
There’s a countdown timer that has unique wait time in each level. So grab the oranges before this timers end(to avoid losing) and do it as fast as you can to set a best record time for yourself.
You can only set a best record time when you win the game(reach to level 10 and win it).

A screenshot from game(more in the game page):

I tried hard to balance the game. So now here’s my results:

Note: You can play this game on your browser, but graphics might be lower compared to the windows version. Also web version doesn’t have hover effect for objects. So Windows Version is recommended.

The game is completed and there isn’t any plan to expand it.
