Pixal3D is an open-source (MIT) image-to-3D generation model that turns any 2D image into a pixel-perfect 3D asset in seconds, with PBR textures and GLB export ready to drop into Godot 4.
Possibly fabulous, but I won’t know, as the ‘Demo’ page offers only error messages and ‘time out’ proposals to go for added ‘tokens’ or whatever. I had uploaded a simple-enough picture, but never got any coherent result. I saw no concrete indication that this is ‘AI’ (that’s not put forward in bright capitals…), nor any notion of pricing, except for this ‘free trial’ which didn’t work, for me. Here’s the picture I tried to use…
Yep, got only errors on the page, too.
Not much activity on git, a lot of unresolved issues and some open PRs, with no interaction.
It’s a dead project.
