Profiling Particles (2D)?

Question

I have just noticed that my CPU particle systems 2D are eating up a lot of performance. That’s OK, but my problem is:
I can’t see this anywhere in the profiler!

Would you know where I can measure/prove the performance of Particle Systems instead of just switching off the systems and then looking at the FPS?

Yes, I know there are GPU particles, but even for those I would like to measure how much the amount of systems/particles drains the performance.
