I really appreciate the chance to share our own submissions as well. My friends and I put our all into A Shot at Space and are excited to share the game, alongside rating everyone else’s. Grateful for anyone who decides to check it out. I’ll try to rate any games posted in our game’s comment section as well. Here’s the link! Hi @samiah.ss I played the rocket game, and I am impressed!
I really like the art and the music, though I do miss some sound effects (like the rocket engine sound).
The building system is insane! I’d just add a grid or something similar to make placement a bit clearer.
Also, sometimes the rocket just… disappears?
I’m not a huge fan of the current UI layout, but overall it is a super nice game. You and your friends created something really impressive. ![]()
With a bit more polish and a few small bug fixes this game could win.
Good luck with the voting!
Btw thank you,
i played yours too and enjoied it ![]()
Hi, thank you so much for playing our game! We are really grateful for your feedback and will keep it mind, it really helps.
The rocket is supposed to explode under certain build conditions, but upon build, the particle effect is skipped for some reason, so it just looks like it disappears. Sorry about that.
Thanks again. Good luck to you too with voting! Your hard work paid off with your own project as well. ![]()
I think the problem is that you delete the particle with the rocked. For my bombs in “bomb out escape” i instantiated/spawned the particle as extra scene and quefreed/deleted it after particle finishes. : ) maybe this helps.
Hmm, you’re right, thank you so much. That makes a lot of sense now that I think about it. It really helps ![]()
i`m glad to help

a nother solution is to use an animation player wich hides the rocked playes the particle and then quefree,s the rocked.
Thanks so much! We’re using unity but I’m sure we can try something similar there : )
No you cant ,the animation player is unique in it’s abilety to animate almost evry properti on evry node.
And please tell me why are you on the godot forum if you use unity,
and do why you even use unity!?
