Reloading scene not working

Question

func _kill(delta):
if Input.is_action_just_pressed(“kill”):
get_tree().reload_current_scene

this is my code. I have “kill” set to “Enter” in my inputs, this code is in my script for my Characterbody2d Player node, but when i run it and hit enter, my scene does not reload. Does anybody have any ideas as to how to fix it? Unfortunately for me, i was doing this to try and figure out how to kill my player with an enemy but doing baby steps first, and i cant even crawl yet lmao.

Is your _kill function called from anywhere? If not, nothing will happen.

The function _kill must be called from somewhere. Perhaps you meant to use your code in _process or _physics_process?
